Beyond the visuals, Benjamin will dive into the core mechanics driving the game’s high-stakes challenges. Drawing inspiration from the mechanical precision of Nintendo’s classic Kururin series and the atmospheric brilliance of Tetris Effect, learn how the game balances frantic maze navigation with competitive features like leaderboards, ghost runs, and speed-run accolades.

Dr Benjamin Outram is a British developer, scientist, and artist working at the intersection of philosophy, consciousness, and play. After a Master's in Physics and a DPhil in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, he was awarded a Daiwa Scholarship and a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship at Keio Media Design in Tokyo, where his multisensory VR research was exhibited at Sundance, SIGGRAPH, and Tokyo Game Show. In 2021 he founded Squingle Studios and released Squingle, a psychedelic VR puzzle game that became one of the highest-rated titles on the Meta Quest store. Its free-to-play sequel, Squingle Arcade, launches on Quest and Steam in Q2 2026.
