CARPE DIEM

Through a series of events on an otherwise normal morning, Airi picks up an old photo album at Ailes Postal Company. Within the pages of the book are records of the many trials and tribulations Airi has faced in the past.

Carpe Diem explores Airi Rowatari’s motto, or the concept of “ichigo ichie” (一期一会), a Japanese proverb meaning “one time, one meeting.” Each encounter is serendipitous and special; whether you choose to seize it or not may change the trajectory of your life. Perhaps your encounter now with this little time capsule will be your ichigo ichie…
