IRIDESCENCE

Originally a live music show that pushed the new MIDI tools in VRChat to the next level, Iridescence is now available as a re-playable virtual concert and music album. The world and music were made hand-in-hand to create stunning soundscapes and visuals. With a central circular stage the audiance becomes a part of the show as their avatars react to the music while surrounded by colours and light beams from the world. The music was made on analog hardware synths and samplers, and takes full advantage of the harsh but satisfying nature of their sounds.

The album was composed by xCirrex, who’s also the performer and the world creator. You can listen to it on popular music streaming platforms.

HOW TO ACCESS THE MUSIC SHOW IN VRCHAT

You will need a VR ready PC and a compatible headset such as Valve Index, Quest 3 + Link, Quest 2 + Link, Rift/Rift S, Vive/Vive Pro/Vive Pro2 or a Bigscreen Beyond. Download VRChat and create an account. Once you’re inside VRChat in your headset, search for ‘Iridescence’ in the WORLDS tab, or you can launch Iridescence directly through your web browser.
