Stepan & Friends

Stepan the cat, also known as loveyoustepan is the furry feline who gained worldwide fame on social media for his calm nature and jaded posture, making him Ukraine's most popular cat. On February 24, 2022, Stepan and his owner, Anna, were startled by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, during which time violent bombings were carried out in Kharkiv. Parts of the city were destroyed, including residential neighbourhoods, causing dozens of deaths and injuries. After the invasion began, Stepan's social media accounts confirmed that both the cat and its owner had survived the bombings, and had found a temporary safe haven in a shelter. After Stepan and his family escaped to Poland, the World Influencers and Bloggers Association helped them find a safe home in France.

Since finding refuge, Stepan and Anna have been fundraising for charity in an effort to provide aid for animals affected by the war, with funds split between the charities Happy Paw, UAnimals, Mykolaiv Zoo, XII Months and Plyushka.

And now French electronic music composer and virtual DJ, M1n0t0r, performed a special charity DJ set inside a custom-made world in VRChat as part of the Raindance Immersive 2022 festival opening event.
