TALES OF A MYSTIC CAT

Tales of a Mystic Cat is an animated VR art world and live world building art performance in the social VR platform, Resonite, for up to 10 players.

After living a long life, it is said that cats transform into supernatural creatures known as "bakeneko"(Mystic Cat). Here unfolds a tale of one such fateful night. While sleeping in a room, a mysterious ox cart beckons the cat to venture outside.

It embarks on a journey, traversing the boundary between the mortal realm and the otherworldly, encountering various spirits and specters in the night parade of a hundred demons. Along the path, the cat learns it is a “bakeneko” itself. Now, as a “bakeneko” it passes through the night parade of a hundred demons only to return to the mortal realm as dawn breaks. What kind of life will the cat lead now?

“Tales of a Mystic Cat”は、ソーシャルVRプラットフォーム「Resonite」で、最大10人のプレイヤーが参加できるアニメーション付きのVRアートワールドであり、世界観を構築するライブアートパフォーマンスも行われます。

猫は長生きすると「化け猫」と呼ばれる超自然的な生き物に変身すると言われている。そんな運命の一夜の物語がここに展開される。部屋で寝ていた猫は、不思議な牛車に誘われて外に出る。

百鬼夜行の中、さまざまな精霊や妖怪に出会いながら、人間界とあの世の境界を横断する旅に出る。その道中、猫は自分が化け猫であることを知る。百鬼夜行をくぐり抜け、夜が明けると人間界に戻る。猫はこれからどんな人生を送るのだろうか？

Embark on a journey with the mystic cat! Enter a new world through an empty canvas, and experience a one-of-a-kind live world building art performance by the artists, Gunberry and Torazo.

You will need a VR ready PC with a compatible PC VR headset such as Valve Index, Quest 3 + Link / Quest 2 + Link, Rift/Rift S, or a Vive/Vive Pro/Vive Pro2. Download Resonite on Steam and create an account ahead of time, either here or in game. If you’re new to the platform please kindly watch the Resonite Basics Tutorial.
