Lesbian Simulator is an immersive narrative and game, an ode to love and sexuality, about the exploration of your sexual orientation, the violence queer women are still confronted with, and about being embraced by the lesbian and queer community. Guided by the godly voice of a female narrator, you are invited to enter the poetic virtual world and to discover your sexual orientation, meet fictional like-minded people, experience a coming-out, go on dates and much more!

Rendered in a cartoony, brightly coloured, wobbly visual style – nothing in this world is straight!

PANEL WITH THE CREATOR AT THE RAINDANCE IMMERSIVE SUMMIT ON 12 JUNE | Colourful Narratives: Radical Courage and Growth Through Vulnerability

In an increasingly divisive and polarised world, the power of storytelling has never been more crucial. Three VR narratives—Iris van der Meule’s Lesbian Simulator, Screaming Color’s A Wonderful Thing To Realize, and “JustJaime” Smith’s un_comfortable.exe—illuminate the stage with stunningly original, vividly colourful journeys into the LGBTQIA+ experience. Through bold visuals and raw honesty, they embrace vulnerability and authenticity, leading us towards acceptance and self-love.

Each creator will introduce their work before joining a panel discussion moderated by Raindance Immersive Curator Jo Leigh. Together, they will explore radical vulnerability and the transformative potential of sharing lived experiences through VR.
